I am planning a home birth, i am 31 weeks pregnant at the moment. No particual reason for wanting one, i live extreemly close to hospital and don't see the point of going up there only to return 12 hours after the birth if i don't have to. Plan on giving birth in my lounge with candles and music n with hubby present and my mum and her partner in the kitchen so they can meet baby asap. My mother in law lives 2 minutes away so she can get here after quick also and she will look after my 8 year old while i am in labour. xx

I had a home birth with my second baby after a horrible hospital experience the first time around. I found the whole experience amazing, after two hours of established labour and just two pushes my son came into the world into his Dad's waiting hands. It was fascinating for my two year old daughter who witnessed the whole thing.

Hi Everyone! I am now 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and am going for a home birth again this time - Can't wait and am so excited about it! Is there anyone else out there planning a home birth at the moment or has had one - I love hearing home birth stories (good and not so) I have my Birth pool still from last time so will be using that and my hubby is very pro home birth also which helps! Anyway that's me look forward to hearing from others xx
