Hi, I am 38 and after 14 years of trying (including 4 miscarriages and 1 stillbirth) I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Zack on the 5th May 2008. I am so happy!! I think that being a so-called 'mature mother' is fantastic! I appreciate my son so much and treasure every single minute I have with him (I am even glad if he wakes in the middle of the night so I get extra time with him!!) and I think I am a lot more patient and happy with my life than I was when I was younger! Does anyone else feel the same? Claire xx
Hi Claire. Congratulations on your beautiful little boy. I'm 38 too and mummy (still find it funny saying that) to twins Ella and Findlay who will be 1 year old next week. Like you I think being a mature mother is wonderful. I love every minute with them - even their mad moments - and wouldn't swap it. You sound very content and loving every minute. Good for you, it's a wonderful feeling isn't it. I can't imagine life without them now. Enjoy Zack and enjoy every minute of watching him grow - these days pass so quickly, treasure every one. Love from this mad hoose! xx Jean, aka the Imps Mummy !

I am 37 with severe endometriosis, having had a womb infection that hospitalised me twice and a cyst the size of a football removed from my ovary, I then married a man of 46 with low sperm motility. We fell pregnant first time! Peachyxxx
I'm 36 and am the mother of a lovely 5 month old called Martha! She is the best thing ever to happen and just seeing her smile makes everything right with the world! Her daddy can be a bit of a grumpy old man (he's 46) but hey - love him to bits! We didn't try long to get our beautiful girl (actually 2nd month using ovulation predictor) and am just over the moon!
