Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining you :) I'm very new to this site. I'm 32 and expecting a little girl - EDD is 1st December. This is my second pregnancy, unfortunately I had a miscarriage at around 6 weeks in April 2007. Although it was very early on, my husband & I were both very upset. We are delighted to be expecting our little girl, although things are not very straightforward with this pregnancy. I had a CVS done at 13 weeks which diagnosed a rare form of Turner's syndrome, which is a chromosome abnormality. The main affects are short stature and infertility in most girls. We've had excellent care from the consultants at our local hospital and at St Thomas, London. We are optimistic that she will be able to have a happy, healthy life although it is a lot to cope with. Sorry if this is a bit upsetting. It would be great to hear from you. xxBubba
Hello Minibubba

My cousin has Turner's Syndrome, she is now in her 30s lives in Germany and has a very successful career as a translator for a large bank. She is a wonderful person and is very happy, even though she obviously can't have children herself, she has a great relationship with all her nephews and nieces . I hope that this helps you when you thik about the life your little girl will be able to have!! xx

Hi my name is louise and i am 29. i have just had my 3rd baby on the 10 july a little boy. in july 2005 i lost my 3 year old son jack to menigitis, then two weeks later i found that i was pregnant again but it was an ectopic pregnancy. then in 2006 i gave birth to my daughter, who is now 2. i dont really no what to say as i dont talk about it much but one thing i do know if i hadnt had any more children i dont know what would have happened to me. having my children gives me something positive to focus on, as the reality of losing Jack is just to much to bear.

Hi im kim im 20 an hav a 6 month old baby girl an expecting again but like all of u i miscarried my first child at around 15 wk it was really bad i was bleedin so much it was like a waterfall, i was rushed 2 hospital an they told me that i was either miscarring or it was an eptopic pregnancy either way i was losin my baby it was my 19th birthday the same day alll this happened i was them rusheed 2 another hospital for an operation to remove that was left of my first child i was devestated the pain was unbelievable my Fiance was there with me every step of the way, after i left the hospital after been in over night it was hard 2 go out coz i found it hard 2 walk i was on iron tablets an was really weak i had 2 take a month off work an while all that was happenin my mum was makin things hard for me an my partner an i nearly lost him coz of her but were fine still together an i still talk 2 my mum an they both get along these days, like i sed i have a beautiful baby girl called Grace an i can find out in a week whether or not im havin a boy or girl by then i will b 21 wk an due on 31st January 09, but i can honestly say the pain of losin my first baby Bump will never go away. The most amazin thing is that my daughter was concieved around da time my 1st baby was due we took it as a sign that it happened for a reason an if we'd hav had the 1st baby then we wudnt hav had Grace.

Hi All, I'm new to this too. I lost a baby at 20 weeks a while ago and thought I'd never be able to have a baby again after a few more earlier miscarrages. It can be really stressful and a painful experience. I relaxed as I thought well I can't get pregnant so I'll just have to get on with my life. Then along came my adorable daughter lily (she's 12 weeks old now) And a surprise addition lol! The pregnancy was a bit daunting as I kept expecting the worst so much so that I chose not to buy anything just in case.....meaning we ended up in the last four weeks running about like headless chickens in mothercare! lol. WE had excellent care and saw consultant etc regularly. I had to have the last three months off work to rest which was boring! but worth it! I'd do it all again every part of it as we have a beautiful babygirl now. So try not to worry too much and I'm sure everything will be ok.

Hi Minibubba sounds like you are a very strong person.I had a pregnancy which i was told at 19wks that my baby had Edwards syndrome(also a chromosone abnormality)we had choices but our baby wouldnt of lived long after the birth as there would of been to much wrong with her,we had a termination at 20wks which was arfull for us,we found out we had a little girl which we called racheal, after this we tried again i fell pregnant but had a miscarriage at 10wks,we tried again and it took us a whole year and a half to fall again and from that we now have our little girl hope.she is three now and iv also had my son ben last august.so i hope all goes well and keep your chin up linda xxxxx
