Lone TwinCreated By rhubarbtart on 04 June 2008

I gave birth to a lone twin last October (her twin sister was stillborn at 36 weeks gestation) and I'm having no luck finding support groups for parents of lone twins.... it is almost as if we just don't exist! I know I'm not the only person to have lost a twin child, so I am looking for other people who can share their experiences and, hopefully, offer and receive support from other memebers of the group (if anyone joins!).

When i was 15 i fell pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. sadly the boy, Milo Dwight, was still born at 26 weeks. I was devestated, as i had no support from my parents, or the father of the child as he had been killed in a car crash when i was 4 week gone.
I believe the stress of the still birth sent me into early labour and my daughter, Mia Alissiya, was born weighing just over three pounds. It was the happiest and saddest day of my life. But she also was not ment to be, she only survived 4 days before her heart gave out.
I will treaure the time that i had with my daughter, and wish i had been able t spend it with my son as well even tho it was sucha short time.
I think of Milo and Mia everyday, even now 15 years later, but i have moved on to find a loving husband and had 5 helthy, beautiful kids, including another set of twins, identical this time.
