Thanks, I will be persevering this time. The midwives were great for my laast two but my babies were just not interested. I'm on my 2ww at the mo so hopefully i'll be pregnant sooner rather than later.

La Leche do coffee mornings where you can meet other Mums in the same position and there are trained counsellors who can give you advice and support over the telephone.

I've already had 2 children and my husband and I are trying for a 3rd. My first 2 wouldn't latch on and I had to express for 2 weeks, after that it was so painful i had to stop. for the 3rd i would like to breastfeed.

what is the best way of perserving?
You really need allot of support from the midwives or breastfeeding counsellor. That worked for me although I never felt I had cracked it totally I fed my son for 10 months and without the midwives at hospital giving me constant reassurance I would have given up! There was allot of tears shed (by my son and myself lol) but now my son is a massive strapping boy of nearly 4 so it was well worth it (he's on the 98th centile).
Hope this helps and hope you can find the help you need in your area.
Good Luck x
ps. willpower in buckets also helps :)
