I Will Not be a Patronising PregnantCreated By rozzibee on 29 October 2008

I created this group because while I was trying for a baby and after I miscarried, I was upset and hurt by what I call "Patronising Pregnants". People that would wish me luck and tell me that they conceived just after I miscarried. I vowed that when I became pregnant, I wouldn't become one of these, so this group is for anyone trying who has been upset by "Patronising Pregnants" or for pregnant people who are determined not to become one

well this weekend, at my friends wedding, I'll be able to tell a patronising pregnant that I'm pregnant! When I saw her 4 weeks ago, we weren't telling people yet, and she was 14 weeks pregnant, and told me about her miscarriage in May, so I told her about mine in June. She said "Don't worry, it'll happen for you soon". On Sunday I'll be able to tell her that I was already pregnant, but I just didn't want to tell her. lol

And then they send a message to all, not caring about who's just miscarried or who's been trying for ages and expect everyone to be happy, and although we are, it's just not easy for us to show. I have my scan on Monday. I'm still not too excited about this pregnancy. I cna't be, not until I know everything is ok. My friend gets "feelings" and she is convicned that it's fine and she is convinced it's a boy. We'll find out part of that on Monday! x

1 week left of the great 2ww...feeling a bit down this week tbh. Think its work getting intop of me, doesnt help when i think maybe i am maybe im not and some little 18 year old says "Im pregnant! Good luck to those trying, baby dist to all" just as you said roz, how god damn patronising is that. It also annoys me when people who havent been trying long fall preganant and i just think, why does it take them once and im still going nearly 11 months later GRRRRRR XX
