This group is created for all members whose babies were born or who are due this month, so you can share experiences and discuss/make friends with like-minded members. All members will be placed in their appropriate birth group on registration.
Hi, I'm Luba, mum to Sam, 2 and Thomas born on 29th august at 41wks weighing 8lb 15oz. Only 11 hours labour (compared to 47 with DD) gas and air. He was born bit quick so had bit of a facial congestion and ruptured blood vessels in his eyes but was fine in no time. They're both gorgeous and I love them very much.
I had my baby on the 27th of august, i was in labour for 17 hours on gas and air but ended up having an emergency caesarian as baby got into extreme difficulty as she hot stuck and her heart rate dropped dangerously low.
She is here now tho, completely healthy, nearly 6 months old 18lb- rolling over but no teeth yet.
My baby girl Madison was born on 16th August. My first baby and a straight forward fairly quick labour - 4 hours only on gas & air. She's my little star and I'm loving every minute of being a mummy, nothing could have prepared me for the love you feel for them. My only problem is I'm a single mum and got to go back to work next month & it's tearing me apart as I don't want to leave her I'd give anything not to go back but could only take a 6 month break from my mortgage!! Not fair :-(
Hi there, I had my first baby on the 19th of August. I had a fairly quick home birth-2 hours with gas and air :) im only 16 and a single mum, i had to go back into education in october, leaving my baby girl-Poppy-with my mum to look after. Its so hard leaving them, but you've got to remember they are being looked after well and it'll be worth it to give them a good life. I could easily spend my days at home with Poppy, but I realise I need to get through sixth form and into uni to achieve my dream of being a teacher and giving Poppy a good life. Hope all goes well on return to work

Our son Kai was born on 10th August at 3.32am. 39 weeks.
He didn't hang about! I dilated 10cm in an hour and he was born in 15 minutes! Whooooh! Thank God for gas and air!
He was scheduled for a home waterbirth but i ruptured something getting out of my waterbed, started bleeding and passed a clot. I didn't want to take any chances so I went into hospital. I am just glad that he arrived safely. We are home now and he is a little treasure!lol
Hi Im nikki mum to two boys aged 5 years and my newest addition who was born 21st August 2009. I had a quick labour with him 1hr 58 minutes just got to the hospital by ambulance and he was born within 15 minutes of us arriving. My planned waterbirth straight out the window! He was 9lb 5ozs so was a big baby too! Unfortunatley I have been diagnosed with PND, some days are hard but I love my boys and love being a mum. x
