Our little boy was born 4 days late on the 12th December. Exhausted but so so happy. Good luck everyone x

Booked in for my C-section tomorrow, so nervous and excited, also going to miss my little boy so much while I'm in, he's so pleased to have me to himself while I've been off work, follows me round all the time... Sure Granny will spoil him rotten and I'll get home to a hyper child stuffed full of choc choc...

5 days til my due date, LO showing no signs of getting into line though. :) I think s/he will go overdue anyway, having way too much fun torturing me in there.

Hips and back ache almost all the time, I toss and turn all night and still getting up at 3.30am and 6am for a pee, you could set the clock by me. DH is out of the house of 7am and for some reason I sleep like the undead until 9/10ish depending on what disturbs me [postie or MiL]. Not that DH is noisy or makes much movement, it's just a quiet house and I'm out cold.

With the ice about at the moment, I'm not tempting fate by leaving the house, I'm generally accident prone so being pregnant has made me a bit more nervous. Walked along the road yesterday for MW appointment, and lost my footing so many times. I was clinging to fences/walls and cars pretty much all the way. Living in the middle of nowhere is lovely, until you need to go somewhere :)

My emotions are so up and down. I can't wait to get it over with, to see my little baby and finally decide on a name and go all sopppy etc etc, looking forward to the sleep without a fidgety bump in the way and being able to get on with things. But then I love having the bump, it's going to be weird going back to normal, no little twitches/savage attacks etc. I'm also getting a lot of comments, some people really shouldn't be allowed out in public. One woman called me a thoughtless parent, how cruel am I to have a child around Chrismtas! Uh, what about Jesus? And everyone keeps going on about the hell of being a new parent, rather than the positives. I've cut an article out of a magazine about the positives and keep it on my for when I need cheering up.

Sorry for mammoth post, had lots of things floating around up there. :)

Anyone else suffering with really bade pelvic/hip pain at night? I never seem to be able to sleep past 3am....sigh! Good preparation I guess. Can't wait until our little one arrives as even 1 hour of pain free sleep would be welcome!
