IVF Support Group!! :-)Created By Hopeful Blessing on 14 October 2011
I wanted to create a group where people who may be about to go through, are going through or considering IVF can have a place to come and vent about things, ask for support and advice or just moan about their IVF ups and downs...
Please feel free to join the group no matter what stage your at, I want this group to be a full support group for IVF from begining IVF to being pregnant through IVF to bringing up your beautiful IVF baby.
hi ya ive been through one ufortunatly unsuccessful cycle we are hoping to try for a second in the new year our first was our 'free' go (NHS Funded) so we are going to have to self fund our own next time and we are hoping that this one is the one fingers crossed! so i thought id join your group for a bit of moral support and to speak with those who know a bit of what ive been through and going through, and to help those going through the same thing!!
Wishing u every success in your ivf journey honey, and I hope you get your long awaited bundle of joy. Keep us informed. Fingers crossed xxx

Hi, i might be having IVF in the next few months. i dont know a lot about it but have heard things like the amount of time off work and visits to the clinic but i would love to hear properly from someone who has actually been through it, thanks xx
Yes any questions feel free to ask me... Yes you need some time but I wouldn't say lots, it's the odd days, my clinic was great, we went weekends and when I needed to be observed daily they booked me in for the first 7.30am appointments so I could still get to work as I work in a school so I don't like to be off work due to them having to get cover etc... It kind of depends on your clinic, you and other circumstances. I was observed everyday as I'm was 24 and they needed to ensure I wasn't over producing eggs as this can be dangerous. It's a long, hard, emotional and tiring journey, it's difficult to explain when you've not done it. I built it bigger than it is and with the amount of waiting you go through, due to tests you have to have etc, the actual cycle is only about two weeks long. But it seems to take months to get there. You both have lots of tests, blood tests, checks and some couples go for counciling assessments first aswell. They sent us for some counciling assessments as we've had four miscarriages, but the sessions are actually very good. I have to say if it had worked I think I would be saying its all worth it because I see it will be, but at the time I was crying when giving myself injections I hated it all. Good luck with everything. You can talk to me anytime xxx

Hi all my name is Kirsty, I wanted to create this group, as I have felt very alone in my journey to have a baby, other than my husband, there is noone that understands the sadness and struggles we have been through that we actually know. I wanted to create a place on here where people who are considering IVF or having IVF have somewhere to chat or gain support from others.
I have had four pregnancies all resulting in miscarriage, one pregnancy was identical twin boys. after losing the twins, I said I wouldnt ever 'try' again. My husband has renal failure and as his kidneys have gotten worse so has his sperm count, therefore we was recommended IVF as a better option now due to the fact that they can actually pick out my hubby's good sperm. Sadly the first attempt failed, which my clinic said they felt I wasnt on enough hormones. I am about to start my second cycle of IVF, fingers crossed it works this time, as we have said this may be our last cycle... Thank you for reading, Please feel free to ask any questions, offer any support or advice or just join me in sharing your story and having a good moan!! :-) xxx
