I'm literally stressing because we have to much stuff and where in my partners parents house and trying to find room for my stuff in there was hard enough now we have to find more room for baby bits, we have crib and snuggle (new hyperallgenic moses basket) with stand! lol changing station, buggy, baby bath, bottles, breast pump, bags and bags of summer dresses and baby grows and socks and blankets and his mum is lovely n all but she is buying more!! lol i know i should be great full but i don't even have this many clothes,, then again i don't pop myself .. lmao :D thats not to mechane that i feel kind of powerless i want to do things certain ways and i feel like I'm being coaxed out of every thing i wanted to do, like i want to wait until my lo is 2-3 month before even thinking about dummies and his mum doesn't like the idea.. I'm not saying i won't as a last resort but i want to try without first .. :S so stressed and i should be happy with all the help .. maybe I'm being a bitch ?? :/ lol sorry for the rant lol xx
Ah hun this must be majorly hard having to live with in laws-my mother was very overbearing with my 1st and we live 20 miles apart! It is certainly hard too when they are buying things for you to say no..does OH back you up over how you feel or does he go along for a quiet life? My OH and mum had dust ups over everything to do with my 1st when she was born-how we were feeding her, dressing her etc..I think it's tricky but somehow you need to establish that ultimately you are the parents and have final decision on how you do things. Do you just have the one room? In which case a changing station isn't necessary-just use a change mat and towel on your bed. As to the clothes I would say 8-10 outfits max in first few weeks so don't take the labels off or wash any more than that-then if you don't use them you can sell them for a good price on ebay or at an NCT sale and make a bit of money to buy her the next size of clothes etc.I would have a chat with MIL and find out her views on other things like discipline, getting baby off to sleep, feeding..she may be flattered you are interested but it will give you chance to see what other things she may throw at you once lo arrives and gives you time to think of your response..a truthful thing to say is that you always have to go by what your midwife/HV says as they have the latest research/up to date advice xxx

Oh I've bought loads, but I'm stupid because it's doing to be really hot and I have dozens of long sleeved vests and babygros! I just can resist when I see something nice but I know the baby won't wear half of it? Also had the combed and dresser delivered last week, but my son needs to move into our spare room so the baby can have his - major job which I've kept putting off, now I'm getting too big and tired to be bothered! Lol! I keep waiting for this burst of energy when I want to move things and decorate - but don't think it's coming? Xx
