Britax Trifix

In a Nutshell
Seats with Isofix mounts need
a third anchorage point. Most use the seatbelt or a support leg, but this model, unusually,
has a tether that typically attaches to the back of a seat.

Features
The Trifix has a host of exotic safety-features that include a mechanism to compensate for tilt in a frontal crash, plus posh side-impact protection. Tests reveal these succeed admirably.

Practicality
This swish seat is straightforward to live with provided your car has a tether point on the back of a seat
or in the boot to which it must
be connected as there is
no seatbelt-only option.

Wow Factor
Its sweeping lines give
the 10.8kg Trifix a groovy appearance, as do the
eight funky fabrics it
is available in, which
includes the ever-popular
‘Cowmooflage’ pattern.

Nit-picking
It’s a big old dollop of money
to splurge on a seat that will only last around three years. Also,
it won’t suit older vehicles, which could be an issue if your family plays musical cars.
