Which is the most comfortable car seat for babies?

Jané Strata

In a Nutshell
This is a super comfy seat for newborns that offers remarkable plushness and fancy fabric options, along with some genuinely useful design ideas.

Practicality
The Strata is a safe option in every sense. Unusually for babies, there is a five-point harness and it can be secured with a seatbelt or ISOFix base (£157 extra). It’ll clip on to several Jané prams, too.

Comfort
This is a deluxe option, much like plumping junior on a comfy sofa (without juice or biscuits). And the height of the harness automatically adjusts as you raise or lower the backrest.

Wow factor
The back can easily be adjusted from a flatter angle of 125 degrees – which is ideal for newborns – to a more conventional position of 110 degrees once junior is four months old.

Nit-picking
The Strata is a touch heavy, and fitting it in a car using just a seatbelt is fiddly to get to grips with. Jané’s pricey ISOFix base makes this much simpler and will help save mummy’s back, too.

Also consider
Concord Intense £379,
Concord.de Babies will come to love this Group 0+ seat that offers six recline-positions. The price does at least include an ISOFix base.
