Graco Contour On The Go

In a Nutshell
This model shows why travel cots with an umbrella-style folding mechanism are so popular. It’s well designed and boasts many handy features, with an emphasis on comfort, not portability.

Features
Graco bundles a bassinet, or raised platform, to ease parents’ backs (see panel) plus a cool changing table that clips on to one end. For £30 more, you get vibration and musical toys, too.

Practicality
Set up is simple, other than that the bassinet requires support poles to be slotted into place. Various elegant touches include four release buttons for slick disassembly.

Wow Factor
The changing table is an impressive accessory. It’s of excellent quality and collapsible, too, albeit a pain to take on the road. Despite its conventional appearance, its curved sides look less boxy than its rivals.

Nit-picking
Though smaller than a proper cot, the Graco weighs 12.1kg and is chunky, even when folded, making it one for the grandparents’ home perhaps. There are no pockets and the carry case could be better.
