Goodwood-590

A speedy day out for all the family Goodwood-280NEW

The Festival of Speed is firmly established as the world's greatest celebration of motor sport history and culture. The sheer scale of the automotive extravaganza is bewildering, yet offers an unrivalled sense of intimacy and accessibility.

Visitors are afforded a unique opportunity to rub shoulders with their motor racing heores in the relaxed surroundings of a garden party at this English stately home, while Formula 1 machines old and new, Le Mans winners, grand prix bikes, supercars, drag racers and rally cars blast up the front drive, mere feet away.

Aside from the hill climb action, the festival's thrilling attractions continue with the esteemed Cartier 'Style et Luxe' concours d'elegance – celebrating the world's most beautiful and eclectic cars – plus exhilarating sideways action on the Forest Rally Stage, a breathtaking collection of exotic supercars, and adrenaline-fuelled action sports in the GAS arena. Alongside this is an impressive display from the world's leading car manufacturers, a dedicated Aviation Exhibition, dramatic air displays and so much more.

With less than three weeks to go now for all the latest news and update around the festival, and to purchase your tickets, visit Goodwood Road and Racing's website.

Welcome to the family experience at the Festival of Speed!

There is so much to see and do at the event that and we want to ensure that your time with us is as enjoyable as possible for the whole family. Therefore in this leaflet you will find information on activities tailored specifically to junior FOS fans, useful hints and tips for families and a map to guide you throughout your day.

* Fast track paylanes

* Wristbands

* Family Viewing platforms

* Autograph opportunities

In order to ensure that our younger visitors can obtain that all important autograph from their hero, special children's stations have been set up at the drivers' club, GAS and in the top paddock area. Sadly we cannot guarantee an autograph will be provided, but we hope the experience will feel a lot better for our junior guests!

Family Camping

For the first time this year, we have a pre-bookable campsite exclusively for families, situated at the racecourse near the Rally Stage. 60 electric plots are available for purchase, offering families access to a private play area, activities throughout the day, an onsite shop and catering options. The area is manned 24 hours a day, and your dedicated Family Campsite Manager is available to assist you. A private shuttle will take you to Gate 1 throughout the day, and back again in the evening.

Family Area

A large family area is situated near to Gate 1 and admission is by children's wristband only. Once inside, families can rest and relax undercover whilst having a bite to eat, use the crèche or head outside for fun and games on the lawn, plus an ice-cream and sweetie factory! This year, we are joined by BoxKart who have built their very own hill climb for children to race around in their custom designed box karts. And don't worry, you won't miss any of the action, as we have screens throughout the family area broadcasting live footage of the action outside.

The FOS Hill Climbers

Everyone at Goodwood can help you navigate your way around the event, however special Hill Climbers, dressed in purple and white driving suits, are especially equipped to help with family needs. So keep your eyes peeled for them!

Sponsor Stands

Several of our sponsors at the event have activities for the whole family to enjoy.
