Stick this on your must see Christmas show list
Christmas shows are all over, but Nifa McLaughlin reckons this is a must see
I headed for Leicester Square Theatre with my daughters aged six and eight to see the theatre production of Julia Donalson's popular book Stick Man.
Although this show is aimed at a younger audience (3 -5 years is probably perfect, although there were definitely younger and older children there) my daughters loved it. It was a high energy performance where three actors took on all the the roles including the Stick Man, Stick Lady Love and a very lovable dog.
There were plenty of catchy songs, brilliantly simple props and special effects to keep little ones captivated and a small amount of audience participation which the children loved. Finally Father Christmas makes an appearance at the end which will delight any child and lead you nicely into the Christmas season. The play runs from now until the 4th January and is also playing in Edinburgh over Christmas. I highly recommend it as a brilliant way to introduce younger audiences to the theatre, and it was also a family-friendly one hour long.
