Family reviews Thule Chariot Cougar
Swedish company Thule pride themselves on providing active families and outdoorsy types with the equipment and tools they need.
Never more so than with the Chariot Cougar buggy which is designed to give keen cyclists the opportunity to enjoy the open road with little ones in tow, or more specifically, securely attached to their bike in the comfy Chariot.
The Chariot Cougar is described as the all-round adventurer, a balance of features and value making it a popular choice for many active families. Bicycle trailer kit included.
So how does this piece of buggy equipment fair? Who better to tell us than a mum and dad, Melissa Rippon and husband Peter who enjoy the great outdoors with their little ones, Georgia aged 7 and Thomas aged 1 got outdoors and put the Chariot through its paces.
Here's what Melissa and her family thought.
"We absolutely loved it. My husband and his friend are pretty picky and gadget nuts and even they couldn't fault it!
"I guess the only small issue we came across is the size of the Chariot. Cars will smaller boots may struggle to fit it all in.
"We used all 3 modes, standard buggy mode was great, jogging 3 wheel mode was great, and the men were particularly impressed with the bike trailer mode and they thought the attachment mechanism was very simple and effective.
"The buggy is solid and safe, yet very easy to manoeuvre. It's very simple to switch between modes, we didn't even need to look at the manual - all very user friendly.
"It is very comfy, 3 of the 5 kids we had with us slept in it! Even Georgia nodded off on a trip out so we took her home in it. The cover is great - snug and weather proof.
"We were all really impressed, it is obviously an expensive piece of equipment but if money and storage were not an issue we would get one for sure."
