In a Nutshell Comes with an optional sensor pad that slips under baby’s mattress and connects to the child unit, triggering an alert if no movement is detected in any 20-second period. Other than that, this is quite standard fare.
Features Don’t be fooled by Tommee Tippee’s dated design, it still has most modern monitor features, other than the complete lack of lullabies.
Practicality Everything works, but the rubberised buttons are fiddly and the LCD is small. Reception was acceptable and range good, at 45m.
Wow Factor The motion-sensor pad will help to prevent new parents standing guard over the cot all night.
Nit-picking Parent unit is clunky and the six lights that constitute the sound-meter aren’t overly prominent.
