The Tomy Walkabout Baby Advance monitor is portable thanks to the design of the parent unit. This means that if you need to go into the garden or you need more mobility than a fixed parent unit can provide, you will be catered for, as this unit fits into the belt clip provided. It has a good range (up to 300m outdoors and 50m indoors in good conditions), which means you will feel confident about leaving your baby some distance away from you. It also has an intercom feature, which you can communicate with your baby if you need to.
There are four channels to minimise the risk of interference, which is a bonus and the monitor can be mains or battery operated. All in all, this monitor seems to provide very good value for money, as the price tag of £29.99 is pretty good, considering the range of monitors and their prices that are on the market. If you want something that has extra features, such as night lights or with an inbuilt camera, you will need to look at more expensive versions available for sale, but as a basic and portable monitor with a good range, this could be perfectly adequate.
