A cheaper model of monitor, but the Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Monitor still has some features, which may grab you. For example, the integrated night light in this monitor could offer reassurance to nervous babies and toddlers and not all monitors have this feature, even the more expensive models. The sound lights mean that you can see visually the levels of your baby’s activity, as well as hear the noises that she is making. The real disadvantage of this equipment is its relatively short range. However, if you live in a small apartment, it could be as good as any other.
The fact that there are two portable parent units, is also a strong selling point, as you might need to place one in the kitchen and one in the living room, if you are moving around a lot, for example. There are two channels to minimise interference and for added convenience, a low battery indicator. This monitor professes to come complete with durable and flexible antennas, which allow for greater range and clarity of sound. The receiver is AC-powered, or battery-powered for portability. This product does require three “AA” batteries that are not included. Let us, and other parents, know what you think of the Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Monitor, by leaving your comments here.
