The Bumbo is a fantastic idea because it allows babies who cannot sit yet, but who can hold their heads up well, to sit upright. This means your baby can join in at family mealtimes, or just allows them to sit playing with toys. Babies love suddenly having a new perspective on the world and enjoy being up right instead of lying down. The Bumbo can also encourage your baby to sit independently.
Once your baby has adequate head control, (usually somewhere around four months old) you can put her in the Bumbo.
