Danchair in white

Price: From £64.99
gurgle Rating:
  • Wooden highchair
  • Adjustable seat and footrest that grows with your child
  • High quality rubber wood
  • Stable baby highchair
  • Stylish contemporary design
  • Fits snugly at most tables
The Danchair is a fantastic feeding chair, which is portable and lasts for a very long time, thanks to the adjustable seat and foot rest which changes height and depth of the chair. It is supposed to encourage good posture, but it doesn't recline and is definintely not a great chair for very young babies. However, older ones will grow into them quickly. As there is no tray, your child will slot into the family mealtimes and feel involved when eating with the family.

As a piece of furniture, the Danchair does look nice and is available as plain or stained wood. It doesn't fold away either, so you need to be sure that you like it enough to have in your kitchen/dining room for years to come. The Dan chair eventually adjusts to become an adult chair or stool, so as well as being an affordable investment, you won't be taking it to a jumble sale once your baby starts to grow!

I have a Danchair and think it is excellent! I'm not sure where the 2* rating comes from, but I disagree. My son is 21 weeks and sits in it beautifully. You would not be able to sit a smaller baby in it, but at less than 5 months there is no need for a high chair anyway. It is sturdy, practical & aesthetically pleasing. Of course it also has the advantage that it will last for years to come, but even if you decide you don't like the design enough, you have not really spent more than many of the chairs on the market.
