Every single day, since midsummer's day 2005, photographers set out before sunrise to capture a new dawn rising over the sea.

Founded by Gavan Goulder, the idea was inspired by the birth of a son to one of his close friends. To commemorate the event, Gavan The-day-that-framed-sunset-280took a photograph of that day as a gift for the new parents in a frame inscribed with '6th April 2000, Teddy's First Day.' Gavan is based in West Cornwall, allowing easy access to sunrises over the sea.

The photograph from your chosen day is available from The Day That as a framed, mounted image, as a canvas, an acrylic display or a digital download. Prices range from a digital download from £35 to a canvas from £85.

Watch the video below on how the photographs come together.
