Mums’ Panel Review: Mothercare Movix Travel System
The Mothercare Movix is a stylish pram and pushchair travel system, with a choice of versatile colour options, allowing you to express your personal style. It'sadaptable design was created with babies in mind that makes it easy to use, fully functional, and comfortable.
We asked Amie, mummy to 12 week old Bertie to review the Mothercare Movix Travel System over a 2 week period rating various criteria with 5 being amazing and 1 being disappointing. Here’s what she and Bertie thought of it:
What did you think of the handling and manoeuvrability?
3/5 “This was perhaps the only element of the Movix that I found disappointing. The back wheels were brilliant but the front wheels were very stiff and had to be aligned in a particular way else the pushchair would not move forward. When the wheels were in a fixed position, this was not a problem but then turning corners was a bit difficult”
How did you like the look of the Movix?
5/5. “For me, this is the strongest element of the Movix which is chic and very stylish. The colours are beautiful and what I particularly like is that you can mix and match various colour combinations. The cream with the black looked brilliant and would be perfect for either a girl or a boy. The Movix looked great either as a pram or a pushchair and looked different from any other pushchairs I have seen, it would not look out of place in a town or in the country."

How did you find the assembly instructions? Was it easy to put together?
4/5 “Putting the Movix together was fairly simple. The pictures in the instruction manual were clear and demonstrated easily what should be done. The Movix took about 20 minutes to complete.”
Was the Movix generally easy to use?
5/5. “There are many elements to the Movix which have been thought of especially for ease of use. The hood on the pushchair was impressive as it pulled very low down to keep the wind off the baby. The basket underneath the pushchair is large and deep which makes it easy for shopping when out with baby. Folding and unfolding the pushchair is very simple which is ideal if you are out on your own with the baby and there is nobody to help you.”
Was the Movix comfortable to push?
5/5. “I like that the handle of the pushchair is bar and not two separate handles. What I particularly like also is that the height of the handle is adjustable. As I am only 5’4” being able to set the bar to a lower height meant that I can comfortably push the pram and also see Bertie over the bar.”
Was the Movix easy to fold and unfold?
5/5. Folding and unfolding the Movix is very simple and can even be done one-handed, what I also particularly like is that everything is numbered so that you cannot forget what needs to be pushed/pulled and in what order.
Was the Movix easy to use outdoors, in the car or on public transport?
4/5. “The Movix is a brilliant pushchair for both short trips in a town/city and also for longer walks. It fits easily into a car boot as the frame folds down and is quite compact, also the carrycot can flatten down to make it even more compact. Getting the Movix on and off the bus was fairly easy and it fit comfortably into the designated pushchair area. “
What did you think of the Quality of fabrics used?
4/5. “The fabrics are thick and durable and are also very easy to clean which is exactly what you need with babies things.”
Do you think the Movix is good value for money? (£570 for the whole package plus £130 for the Maxi-Cosi infant car seat)
3/5. “I do think that £700 for the whole package (including car seat) is towards the more expensive end of the price range. However, if you are looking to spend that amount of money then I think the Movix is very good value as it is very good quality and will last a long time, it is also very stylish and I think any new mummy would feel brilliant pushing it.”
Did you think your child was comfortable in the Movix?
5/5. “Bertie was very comfortable in the Movix, so much so that he has slept in it overnight when we have been away for the weekend. The mattress is very soft and thick.”
Do you think the Movix will last a long time?
5/5. “Bertie is 12 weeks old and particularly long and there is still plenty of room in the carrycot attachment. Once he is in the pushchair I think there is a great amount of longevity as it is both front and rear facing. The cosy toes make the Movix perfect for use all year round and the colour palette means that you can achieve different looks with blankets.”
