Do dads have all the fun with the kids?
Dad walks in from work and the kids run up to him knowing they are going to have fun now dad's home? And you're the 'fun police' telling them to calm down and sit at the table for dinner? Sound familiar?
New research by baby swimming school Water Babies reveals that many mums feel they have to be the disciplinarian while dad has all the fun with the kids.
Nearly two thirds felt dad comes home to a hero's welcome and then tends to take on all the 'fun jobs' such as amusing the kids in the evening or bedtime reading.
The survey revealed that the majority of mums believe they are associated with tidying and homework, while they believe dads are most connected with playtime and fun.
Swimming is a great way to have fun and bond with your child, as well as swimming from birth is known to be good for their development. Water Babies is calling on families across the UK to make May a 'Dive In Month' and enjoy swimming together.
