New £5 coin will mark the birth of the royal baby

Prince George has had his fair share of commemorative coins to mark his key early milestones and the new royal baby is set to have the same with a £5 coin to mark his/her birth next month.

A £5 coin will be created to mark the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second child due next month.

Coins were created for the 2013 birth and christening of Prince George, and his first birthday. Limited numbers of the various coins were made, with the £5 first birthday coin costing £80 and a "gold proof kilo" christening coin costing £50,000.

The new royal baby is expected towards the end of April.
