World's largest children's book unveiled Largest-book-280

Alton Towers Resort has unveiled a giant-sized version of new children's book The Enchanted Village.

Standing taller than a giraffe, the world's largest children's book has been unveiled at Alton Towers resort.

The enormous book has been launched to celebrate Alton Towers Resort's first storybook for children – The Enchanted Village.

Professional storyteller Gary Cordingley from literacy charity, Seven Stories, performed an engaging read of the book.

The launch of The Enchanted Village book follows research by One Poll, which found that two thirds of parents don't have enough time read to their kids with a third admitting they feel guilty about it.

Watch a video from the day here.
