Stoptober

One less place to smoke; another reason to quit

From today (1 October) it is illegal to smoke in vehicles with someone under 18 present. Hear hear, we say!

Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's harmless – over 80 per cent of cigarette smoke is invisible. So no matter how careful you are, children will still be breathing in harmful toxins.

Whether in or outside of a car, the best way to protect children from the dangers of secondhand smoke is to go Smokefree – and now with one less place to smoke, there's one more reason to quit.

Public Health England are encouraging smokers to give up cigarettes for October as part of Stoptober – so if you know a puffer why not share this newsbreaking nugget and encourage them to sign up?
