Water Babies raises £2 million for pregnancy charity

Water Babies has raised over £800,000 this year for pregnancy charity Tommy's, and over £2 million in total

Baby swimming

Thousands of babies and toddlers splashed out in June and July to take part in the Water Babies Splashathon swimming classes classes for sponsorship, raising £806,477 in just two months for Tommy's, a charity that funds research into miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.

The bi-annual event campaign started in 2006 and, due to the success of this year's campaign, has smashed its £2 million fundraising target.

One in four parents will lose a baby during pregnancy or birth; Tommy's provides advice and support for parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

You can still donate to the cause here or text WBHO50 with the amount you would like to donate e.g. £10 to 70070.
