The little prince's first day at nursery

Aww - isn't he adorable? The palace has released two gorgeous shots of Prince George's first day at nursery

PrinceGeorge

Bless - the first day is always the hardest, but Prince George seems to be taking it all in his stride at his first day at West Acre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk.

The two-year-old was dropped off by his mum and dad for his first day yesterday morning, and Kate herself took these photos to mark the day.

The little prince will be a part-time attendee at the Montessori nursery, which costs £5.50 an hour or £33 a day. Montessori nurseries teach children in mixed age groups while giving them a choice of activities and freedom of movement within the classroom, emphasising independence, freedom and social development.

Both William and Harry attended Montessori nurseries, and their mother Diana worked as an assistant at one before marrying Prince Charles.
