Advice on hand from Red Cross on tour Red-cross-Beyonce-280

Ahh life on the road, it's not for everyone that's for sure. All that toing and froing from one city to the next is no place for homebodies!

You're away from home, half the time you've forgotten what city you're in and to make matters worse you've started dreaming of bubble baths and hallucinating about bath bombs. All the strain of travelling can cause some diva-ish demands when you do finally arrive at your destination.

Mariah Carey famously requested that her dressing room be filled with "20 snow white kittens" before her arrival, while Queen Bey herself requests her room be set to 72 degrees with "all white furniture", specifically a "sofa, loveseat, and chaise lounge" and "2 white area rugs". Flawless indeed.

Red-Cross-baby-show-180The British Red Cross has assured us there won't be any outrageous demands when they're on tour around the UK throughout May and June doing first aid taster sessions. Kicking off at the NEC Baby Show on the 16-18 May 2014, they will be on the main stage at 10.30am each day with a 30 minute training session. For special priced tickets click here.

From 22-29 June 2014 Red Cross trainers will be appearing at Mothercare's Expectant Parent Events at stores nationwide. Don't miss the chance to attend one of their free first aid taster sessions where they'll be giving new and expectant parents lots of valuable first aid advice, from choking and unconsciousness to burns and meningitis. Click here for more information.

Be sure to catch them if you can but if you can't there are always other ways to learn. Their First Aid for Baby and Child courses are run at over 50 venues throughout the county and cover a range of different first aid subjects. Of course if practical learning isn't your thing, their free Baby and Child First Aid app means you'll always have first aid at your fingertips and you can also learn online via their Baby and Child first aid site.
