Hello, my partner and I decided to try for a baby just over 6 months ago. I was naive and thought that it would happen within the first month or two and was really disappointed when it didn't. I'm 34 plus I'd been on the pill a very long time so I guess that had something to do with it. Anyway, this month I had pretty much given up and was just expecting to get my period (as I had all the usual signs - I was emotional, had sore boobs etc.) then as I was a day late did a test and 'hey presto' it was positive! I'm really pleased however trying not to get too excited as I realise it is still very early days yet. Fingers crossed though x
