Hi, my name’s Liz Costagliola. I continue to work part time as a Health Visitor within the NHS. I started my nurse training in 1991 and it was during this time that I discovered Health Visiting. As soon as I completed my nurse training, I applied for and was accepted on the Health Visiting course. By 1995 I was a qualified Health Visitor. I have completed a diploma module in paediatric eczema and have run a children’s eczema clinic. My interest in eczema developed because my middle child suffered from severe eczema and I wanted to know more about it. Luckily he has now grown out it, but I still enjoy helping parents to manage their children’s eczema. My other particular interest is breast feeding and I have completed the UNICEF breast feeding course. On a personal note I am married with 3 children, and therefore am well aware of the demands of being a working mum. The information provided by our experts is intended for educational purposes only.
