My name is Kate Millard and I am a historical costumier and wedding dress designer, working from home for myself. I am also mum to a a little girl called Rhoslyn Fae (or Rhosie).Rhosie was born two weeks late by emergency Ceasarean section because after being induced on friday night I was only 2 1/2cm dilated on sunday evening and her heart rate had dropped. Rhosie was a healthy 7lbs 12oz, and her dad was the first one to hold her as i had had a general anaesthetic after attempts at a spinal didnt work. Rhosie is bottle fed as I couldnt breastfeed due to my ME medication (which is a shame as I was hoping to breast feed)Rhosie was not a happy little bunny in the first few weeks and was very poorly and was diagnosed with gastro-oesophagel reflux disorder at 6 weeks and a lactose intolerance after not putting on weight properly (so breastfeeding wouldnt have helped!) but she is on meds now for this and is a happy thriving litle girl who is very smiley! and putting on lots of weight! I havent gone back to doing any work properly yet... but its nice because I work from home I can do little bits of custom work and leave it to play and have fun with the baby!
