On location with Giffords Circus

Wow how lucky were we with the weather! After a month of near continuous rain, we had a scorcher for our shoot day, shot on location with the fab guys and gals of Giffords Circus at Cheltenham race Course.

Having a perfect blue sky might sound ideal for a shoot, but it actually throws up a huge amount of problems for the team to overcome. Bright sunshine can cause hard shadows on faces and clothing and make the models squint, which is never a good look! Combine that with shooting around a working circus that has two shows a day, not to mention rehearsals was a real challenge.

It was a long, hard and hot day, but the team from Giffords were absolute stars and were very helpful and supportive throughout the whole process from the initial meeting months before through to arranging for our own circus wagon to use on the day as our wardrobe and team base.
