Gurgle mums love: Vitamin boosts
On top of breastfeeding, dicing and puréeing everything in their path for them, your little ones should also be popping vitamin supplements on the side
We all know the benefits of a healthy diet, so it can come as a bit of a shock to hear that, on top of breastfeeding, dicing and puréeing everything in their path for them, your little ones should also be popping vitamin supplements on the side.
Indeed unless you were fortifying yourself with vitamin D throughout your pregnancy, medical consensus is that all babies need a daily dose from as early as six months. And did you know that vitamins A and C (the big immune boosters) are also on the must-have list?
So if your child hasn't quite made the leap to a consistent and varied diet of sweet potatoes, carrots and dark green veg (all rich in vitamin A) and bright fruits such as strawberries, tomatoes and oranges (packed with vit C), it's time to chat to your health visitor or GP about how best to plug that diet gap.
