The realities of toddlerhood today
Pocket money, smartphones – how things have changed since we were that age!
Lego surveyed over 1,000 parents of toddlers to find out what life is like for tots these days. While parents have found themselves taking after their own parents in approach and ethos, the actual realities of being a toddler are quite different.
The survey found that almost two in every 10 toddlers receive at least £5 pocket money a week – what luxury is this! And nearly one in five three-year-olds had their own digital devices. Now we feel old.
Today's tots also spend far more time watching TV, with almost one in three watching between 1 and 1 ½ hours of television every day. And nearly half of us (43 per cent) spend more than £100 on gifts for our toddlers – although thankfully that's not just for Christmas.
