Schools are officially out for summer. While this means six whole weeks of freedom for your little ones, for you this may mean six whole weeks of frantic worry trying to keep them entertained.

Don't worry, our trusty summer event round up will give you plenty of inspo for fun days out the whole family can enjoy.  

Enjoy forest fun at GreenWood Family Park

Consecutively voted Best Family Attraction in North Wales, GreenWood Family Park, is the perfect place to experience an exhilarating family adventure at the foothills of Snowdonia National Park. Dotted amongst a forest clearing with 27 acres, GreenWood Family Park is brimming with forest fun and woodland discovery, where children can board the world's first people powered roller coaster or zoom down the longest sledge run.

Kids can also enjoy exploring the Treetop Tower, walking the barefoot trail, practising achery or getting creative with crafts. There is also a large indoor soft play area with a separate section for the under 3s where smaller tots can experience a fun-filled adventure in the Little Forest PlayBarn, Toddlers Village, Tunnel Warren and the Little Green Run. Tickets start from £15.40 at peak season.

Get hands-on with clay at The World of Wedgwood

If you're looking for a family acitivity that's both education and fun, The World of Wedgwood in Staffordshire, allows visitors to experience and celebrate of the very of British industrial design heritage. Young visitors can take part in pottery painting activities, making clay cut-out chapes like hearts, flowers and stars, as well as plant pots and vases. 

Free entry for the whole family can be gained to The Wedgwood Museum where you discover over 250 years of ground-breaking design and production - and new for this summer, the youngest of visitors can explore the new dog themed trail, find the cute canines hiding in the museum and collect a prize when you find them all. Tickets start from £8.

Play with Peter Rabbit and Friends at Willows Farm

This St. Albans activity farm has pleny to keep the kids preoccupied including animals, soft play and tractor rides. From the 21st July - 2nd September, Willows Farm have a Summer Spectacular programme, where children will meet baby animals and Benjamin Bunny, experience the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground, take part in sports day races, live shows with Peter Rabbit and Friends Maze, and get a chance to feed farm animals. Ticket prices start from £11.50.

Explore the beauty of nature at Sizergh

From hiking to building dens, there's something for everyone at Sizergh. There's so much to do for adults and children in these fabulous Cumbrian woods including, putting your balance, stamina, brainpower to the test as you go of the beaten track into the depths of the wood. Here you will spot ancient trees, stunning flora and exotic fungi - and you might even spot a roe deer and foxes. 

Get creative, build impressive models and enjoy immersive experiences at LEGOLAND

If your child is a LEGO-lover, a trip to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham will be like taking them to paradise. With a host of immersive experiences, exciting build challenges, creative workshops and more models for them to gawp at than Madame Tussauds, LEGOLAND entertains kids and adults alike for hours. 

Children can also make their way through multiple play zones, see the ledgendary Grand LEGO Clock Tower, build a LEGO city with the new City Builder experience, and if that wasn't enough, they can attended three different showings of LEGO movies at the 4D cinema. Tickets start from £15 pp.
