Knuma Connect 4-in-1BEST FOR... VERSATILITY

‘This is brilliant for our two-year-old as she can sit at the table doing her colouring-in while I make her tea’ DANIELLE, WANSTEAD

IN A NUTSHELL This beech high chair is designed to adapt with your child as they grow, with four separate modes – full-size high chair; mid-size high chair; toddler chair and tray, and child’s table and chair.

KEY FEATURES Dimensions are 57 x 53 x 98cm and it weighs 11kg. Also includes a five-point harness and large, removable tray. The clean lines and plain palette will appeal to modern mums and fit in with pretty much any decor. That said, if you do fancy giving it a pop of colour you can add a cushion for an extra £30, which comes in a range of brights.

BEST BITS It has to be the fact that it turns into a little table and chair for older tots, right up to age six. When they’re ready to sit at the grown-up table, this clever combo can then be used for snack time as well as for drawing, painting or reading.

NIT-PICKING It’s only suitable from six months. Also, it arrives flat-packed so you’ll have to assemble it yourself. It’s not that difficult, but if you’ve had Ikea-provoked nightmares in the past, this may not be the one for you – unless you can persuade a friend, partner or neighbour to put it together.

Childhome Lambda 2 highchair reviewChildhome Lambda 2 BEST FOR... ADAPTABILITY

‘Our son is growing quickly, so it’s really handy that it’s easy to adjust the seat and footrest’ ALLISON, POOLE

IN A NUTSHELL Stylish and minimalist wooden high chair (puts us in mind of those Scandi mums you see popping up on Instagram) that will last your child until around the age of three.

KEY FEATURES Suitable from six months, the Lamda 2’s dimensions are 85 x 49 x 51cm, and it weighs 7.5kg. It’s crafted from beech – with a choice of pale or dark grey, white or a natural finish – and is easy to keep clean. The tray is removable, so it can be used as a dining chair once your tot is ready to move up to the ‘big table’. Includes a five-point safety harness that can be also be removed when your child grows out of it.

BEST BITS A rather nifty bit of design means that both the seat and footrest can be adjusted without the need for tools, so it’s very easy to adapt as your child grows. An added bonus is that the removable tray can be flipped up when it’s not in use to save space. If you’re worried that your little one won’t have the comfiest time sitting on bare wood, there’s a compatible cushion available in five eye-popping shades – although one of these will set you back an extra £24.95.

NIT-PICKING It’s not suitable for newborns, so if that’s a deal-breaker for you, then you’d be better off with a different chair.

‘My 11-month-old often has an early- afternoon nap, and with the tilt-back feature he can nod off in his chair!’ MEGAN, GWYNEDDickle bubba orb highchair revie

IN A NUTSHELL If you’re a fan of the space-age design of Bloom’s Fresco high chair but are short on space, this model is sure to appeal, as it has a two-point fold, meaning it’s easy to store and transport.

KEY FEATURES The dimensions are 73 x 46.5 x 107cm, and it weighs 11kg. It’s suitable from birth to 17kg (about three years), and comes with a five-point safety harness with shoulder pads for added comfort; a memory foam seat insert, and a removable tray that can be adjusted to three different positions. Available in a choice of 12 colours, it’ll fit in with pretty much anyone’s decor.

BEST BITS The whole thing tilts backwards – not just great for popping your newborn in so they can be at table-height even before they’ve started eating, but also brilliant for older ones if they fancy a nap after lunch (we know we do). Another great feature of this chair is that it boasts a 360-degree seat rotation, meaning it can spin right round – although we don’t recommend you do that too much, especially straight after they’ve eaten.

NIT-PICKING The circular ‘foot’ does take up rather a lot of space, so mind you don’t bang your toe as you walk past with a bowl of hot soup (or maybe that’s just me).
