While betting pundits have been called upon to reveal the most popular Royal baby name predicitons, Airbnb and Houzz have been anticipating what a Royal nursery might look like ahead of the birth of Prince William and Kate's third child.

According to Airbnb and home renovation and design platform Houzz, stereotypically 'gendered' bedroom colours are set to be replaced by neutrals which provide a canvas for 'inspiration or educational decor'.

Research conducted by the Houzz UK community tells us that white is the favoured children's bedroom colour 'with nearly half (49%) of parents citing it as a dominant colour in their child's room.' The research also reveals that two thirds of parents (61%) are embracing themed rooms. Animal and natured-themed rooms are most popular aligning with Prince George's safri-inspired bedroom.

Airbnb's new Family Collection makes it easy for families to find their ideal nurseries when they travel. Off of the back of this feature, Airbnb have found that a nursery 'can help families stand out on the site and earn even more from their home than a typical listing', earning them a stonking 57% more in 2017 than those without.

The innovative platforms have partnered to unveil the top nursery trends as reported by editor of, Victoria Harrison, as she shares her top tips on how to create a gender-neutral nursery fit for your own little Prince or Princess.
