Marine Lloris: "I really like the fact that my girls need me!"
Marine Lloris is founder and owner of Manège en Sucre, a childrenswear fashion and accessories brand. Marine is married to Tottenham Hotspur football club captain, Hugo Lloris, and they have two daughters, Anna-Rose, seven, and Giuliana, three.
How would you describe your job?
I am a busy mother of two girls, a wife and the founder of Manège en Sucre, a luxury girlswear label. I am very fortunate to be doing something I love and I am very passionate about what I do. Of course the work can be demanding, but I’m very fortunate to be able to run my own business and to create beautiful things all day long.
Did you always want to be a mum?
Not really, it is a feeling that came slowly because I was so immersed in my studies and didn’t have the time to even think about starting my own family.
Can you tell our readers a little about your new fashion venture?
Manège en Sucre is a label for girls aged two to 12 years. We offer three collections throughout the year which we hope gives our customers a great choice of styles to choose from. Our collection is produced in London and is made using the highest quality fabrics from Italy, France and the UK. The garments are produced in small quantities, making each piece feel unique.
What are your favourite babywear pieces?
It’s not easy for me to just pick one as I love every single piece for different reasons, but I have to say the ‘Mary’ dress (pictured above) looks gorgeous on a baby!
Why would it be worth investing in pieces from your collection, and where do you see them being worn?
We try to do something different with our designs and work with shapes and fabrics that can’t be found everywhere. We love that our pieces are chosen for special occasions but I think what is great about our designs is that the dresses can be worn more casually as they are incredibly comfortable.
What’s your favourite thing about being a mum?
I really like the fact that my girls need me! So I'm trying to make sure to enjoy every second because time flies and before I know it, they will be leaving me.
What’s been your biggest panic moment so far, as a parent?
At the moment my biggest panic is trying to find a new school for my older daughter Anna-Rose, it's been quite stressful.
What are your hopes for your own children?
Like most mums, I just want them to be happy and healthy and be their own people.

What were your three newborn essentials?
1. Wet wipes (lots of them!) – I liked the ones made with 99% water.
2. Lots of nappies - I couldn’t believe how many nappies I went through with both girls.
3. A cosy and luxurious blanket.
