Did trying for a baby take its toll on your sex drive? A new survey suggests 40% of people who struggle to conceive no longer enjoy sex.

The research by The Stork highlights the emotional toll on couples who are struggling to conceive.

Nearly half (40%) of people who struggle to conceive no longer enjoy sex according to a new survey by home conception aid, The Stork. Fertility is a big issue, affecting 1 in 7 couples in the UK and in research conducted to coincide with National Fertility Awareness Week (27th October-2nd November 2014), the full emotional impact of conception struggles are revealed.

Nearly half of respondents (48%) said infertility has affected their relationship with their partner, of these 41% said they argue more and 24% admitted it's pushed them apart. Over a third (35%) said the impact on intimacy is significant and nearly 1 in 5 admit they only have sex at ovulation time. Research was conducted amongst 500 men and women who had been trying to conceive for 12 months or more.
