In a Nutshell
This Cybex is akin to its Kiddy rival in
that it’s a Group 1 seat which relies on
a cushion insert held by the seatbelt,
not a five-point harness. As the name suggests, it has Isofix mounts too.
The seat has airpads on the sides of the headrest which contribute to its good results in safety tests. Unlike most barrier seats, the depth of the cushion insert can be adjusted.
At a mere 6.7kg, the Cybex is lightweight
and its Isofix fixings cleverly prevent it
from being flung about in the
event of a crash while empty. The
headrest is cosy for little noggins.
The seat can be instantly reclined while
your cherub is perched within it, which is unusual for this style of seat and mighty handy should he grow unexpectedly weary.
The price is starting to creep upwards for what is, comparatively speaking, a simple seat. As with any model that employs the rear seatbelt, check this is long enough
prior to purchase.
