Mothercare Playbead Dropside Cot

Mothercare Playbead Dropside Cot

In a Nutshell
A traditional cot with a dropside feature that offers an appealing mixture of everyday practicality and good design, especially given its comparatively modest price.

Features
The Playbead’s headline feature is the wooden balls set into each end that spin around, offering your cherub something to distract them once they grow tired of gnawing on the teething rails at either side.

 Practicality
Easy to put together and, being constructed from beech (in a white or natural finish), it feels well up to withstanding a grumpy toddler’s tantrums. There are three matress base positions, the lowest offering added safety for adventurous children.

Wow Factor
Those arched ends give this cot a lovely vintage vibe, like an old-fashioned cradle. If your toddler wakes too early for your liking – and which one doesn’t? – they’ve got something to play with while you catch a few more minutes sleep, without the danger of loose toys in the cot.

Nit-picking
While the dropside feature can be operated one-handed, which is a real advantage, it
can feel a bit clunky.
