Mothercare Movix travel system reviewed

Mothercare Movix

In a Nutshell
Fashionistas looking for a stylish splash of colour will love the 50 mix ‘n’ match combos on offer. The seat or carrycot face either direction, which is a plus.

Features
The full Movix package contains a moulded seat (suitable from six months), plus a carrycot that can be slept in overnight, as well as extras such as two raincovers and a cosytoes as standard.

Practicality
The elements all click together easily and the handle extends telescopically. The two air-filled wheels at the back help provide a smooth ride over bumpy terrain, albeit that the wide rear axle is slightly unwieldy around tight shop aisles.

Wow Factor
While baby is snuggled up inside and other parents gush over the designer style of the Movix, it’s a good feeling knowing you haven’t had to sell the family silver to be able to afford it.

Nit-picking
The fold action is simple, yet it does force you to remove the seat or carrycot first. At 13.5kg, in pram mode, this is heavy for
a single pushchair and it lacks the robust feel of some rivals. The compatible Maxi-Cosi car seat will cost an extra £130.
