Hotel staff reveal oddest requests from parents

Do you have soft play in the room for my children? And can you get our kids up so we can have a lie in? are two genuine questions parents have asked Travelodge staff in UK Hotels this year. Fact. Who says parents are unreasonable?

Travelodge has revealed the most bizarre requests that parents have asked whilst staying in one of the company's 513 hotels in the last 12 months. Between them, Travelodge hotel teams receive more than 200,000 strange requests every year.

And for your amusement, here are ten of the best:

Do you have soft play in the room for my children?

Can you get our kids up so we can have a lie in?

Can we put up a Peppa Pig poster?

Can you read and act out a bedtime story for my kids?

Can you teach me how to make a bed for the kids?

What time does your babysitting service start?

What can I do with the kids in London?

Can you pretend that Frank Lampard is staying here? It will cheer my son up as his fish has just died.

Is it possible for my child to choose which room we stay in? He is quite fussy.

Would it be possible to hire some football goals to put outside the back of the hotel so my boy can practice? I can see there is some grass that would be perfect.
