Nearly one in ten children starting school are obese – do you know how much you should actually be feeding your child?

Toddler's energy needs are significantly lower than adults and they require smaller meals, but it's hard to know what and how much to actually give them, especially when what they want – and what we're told to give them – varies so much.

Never fear, there's a new portion size guide for children aged between one and four based on evidence and portion sizes rather than specific amounts, to address children's fluctuating appetites and their nutritional needs across the food groups.
