Carey Mulligan has confirmed the birth, gender and name of her baby on The Graham Norton Show.

She admitted she gave birth only three weeks ago to her and husband Marcus Mumford's first child, a little girl they've called Evelyn.

Carey kept schtum, never even confirming her pregnancy until now, but has broken her silence after speculation when she turned up to the Suffragette premiere last week with a noticeably flatter belly.
