Watching your baby's reaction as they try different foods for the first time can be such fun – seeing the surprise and pleasure on their little faces as they discover new tastes and textures. And, well yes, ok, sometimes not being so thrilled with all the new experiences!

But there's a real treat coming their way when they reach seven months, because Organix has invented a ring-shaped biscuit that's delicious and, with its great texture and unique design, really easy for babies to hold.

To help create the biscuits we consulted the experts: mums and babies – who else? They helped us settle on the perfect shape, size and texture, 'big enough for little hands to grip, but soft enough for little gums,' as Organix food developer Abby Ban explains. 'The shape is brilliant as little ones just reach out and grip it straight away,' one mum adds. 'They don't keep dropping it, which means I don't have to keep picking it up.' The mums were reassured that the biscuits dissolve, too, and yet as another mum says, 'The biscuits don't crumble when little ones grip onto them, which is good as this can be such a waste of biscuit and money.'

The shape gives tots the immense satisfaction of feeding themselves – they won't even know they're also helping to develop their ability to grip things. And they will want to feed themselves once they taste these. The three flavours – banana, strawberry and creamy vanilla – have been created simply by using fruit juices and purées; no artificial flavours or sweeteners. What's more, this is the first time there's been a strawberry-flavoured biscuit for babies – and when you think how little ones love those sweet fruits, they're bound to be popular; as one mum says, you can actually see the strawberry bits in them.

It's all to do with the Organix No Junk Promise – always organic, nothing unnecessary such as additives or thickeners, and high standards that challenge the entire food industry to achieve the best for children. No wonder Organix is Britain's favourite finger food brand*, helping you give your little one the best start in life and grow their love of good food.

Have we whetted your appetite? Now it's your baby's turn! If your baby is aged seven months or more and ready for stage two finger foods, let your little one give Organix Baby Biscuits the taste test. The three flavours, Strawberry, Banana, and Creamy Vanilla, come in packs of nine at an RRP of £1.39.
